Author | G. Frege & E. Husserl |
J. T. Desanti opens his study with these words : « From G. Frege to E. Husserl, and from E. Husserl to G. Frege … – this correspondence is undoubtedly unbalanced » ; and he explains that there is a real gap between the logician who remains a mere logician and the logician who, once his education is completed, becomes the father of phenomenology. This gap is plain to view in the correspondence and makes Frege and Husserl completely blind to one another : they pace up and down the same theoretical field but are really unable to understand one another. |
