In the range PHILOSOPHICA (I-IV), we translate the different items edited by J. Klagge & A. Nordmann and published in a single volume under the title Philosophical Occasions (1914-1951)
The section « Philosophy » of the Big Typescript and the notes taken by G. E. Moore during the first sets of the Cambridge lectures throw an important light on Wittgenstein’s evolution. And it is worth noting that the Big Typescript is one of the few texts of the Nachlass composed by Wittgenstein himself (and not by his literary executors), and that it presents an overview on the nature of his investigations and brings to the fore the peculiarity of his approach to philosophical problems.
